Swedish Christmas Festival
Nov. 19 & 20, 2011!
Early Christmas shopping and a Christmas raffle with great prizes!

TORONTO, ON (Oct. 20, 2011) - SWEA Toronto holds its Annual Swedish Christmas Festival at Harbourfront Centre, York Quay Centre on Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 19 - 20, 2011 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. (Sunday close at 4 p.m.). Admission is FREE!

Guests will enjoy festive entertainment with two shows daily featuring the renowned Lucia pageant. The pageant will include a procession of children singing traditional Swedish Christmas carols. Lucia is a symbol of goodness and light that opens the Christmas season. Other entertainment includes traditional folk dancing.

The draw for the Christmas raffle (licence # M 683426) will be at Harbourfront Centre at 2:30 p.m. on Nov. 20, 2011. The total value of all prizes is $9,880 and 3,500 tickets are available.

Children can also take part in the popular Christmas workshop where they can make Swedish crafts and dance around the Christmas tree.

Guests can buy traditional Swedish gifts including Swedish clogs, homemade crafts, textiles, food, glögg (mulled wine) and much more. The Little Café will serve a variety of Swedish delicacies.
