FOREST OF READING® FESTIVAL OF TREES™ WELCOMES
MORE THAN 8,000 READERS TO HARBOURFRONT CENTRE


What: Forest of Reading® Festival of Trees™ welcomes more than 8,000 readers to the Harbourfront Centre site each year for two days of activities celebrating the love of reading – award ceremonies, fun workshops, book signings, and more! Events are the culmination of over 250,000 votes cast across Ontario.

Presented by the Ontario Library Association and Authors at Harbourfront Centre.

When: Wednesday, May 11 & Thursday, May 12, 2011; 10am–2pm

Where: Harbourfront Centre, 235 Queens Quay West, Toronto

Who: More than 70 authors/illustrators, hundreds of Ontario schools and 8,000 attendees
Participants for this year’s Forest of Reading® Festival of Trees™ include: Forest of Reading®-nominated authors Allan Stratton, Linwood Barclay, Mariatu Kamara, Eric Walters, and Sharon Jennings, and ALOUD: a Celebration for Young Readers participants Tim Wynne Jones, Matt Beam, Brandon Mull, and David Ward.

Our season runs from September to June and includes the annual International Festival of Authors (IFOA) (October 19–29, 2011), including YoungIFOA and IFOA Ontario; and the annual ALOUD: a Celebration for Young Readers with Forest of Reading® Festival of Trees™ (May 11–12, 2011).
