Dynamic and alternative field trips at Harbourfront Centre
Kids discover Toronto’s waterfront with Harbourfront Centre’s School Visits

TORONTO, ON (May 20, 2010) – Anchors aweigh! Spring into summer on a tour of Lake Ontario. A great way to bring the school year to an end, Harbourfront Centre’s Education Afloat School Visits programme lets students explore Toronto’s waterfront while being outdoors.

Designed to complement school curriculum, Harbourfront Centre’s School Visits educators work with teachers to draft the goals and outcomes of each Education Afloat field trip. Available to students from kindergarten to grade 12, a range of grade-appropriate activities are offered both on land and/or on water, for a full day ($13/student) or half-day ($10/student).

School Visits has been offering this diverse and contemporary Urban Studies programme for over 25 years and because of its popular it hosts over 3,500 kids every year through May and June.
