Harbourfront Centre’s outdoor rinks are open Christmas Day
Celebrate the holidays on the new Natrel® Kinder Rink and the Natrel® Rink

TORONTO, ON (Dec. 22, 2009)Harbourfront Centre invites everyone to celebrate the holidays at the Natrel® Kinder Rink and the larger Natrel® Rink. Both outdoor rinks are open Christmas Day with the unveiling of the full-sized Natrel® Kinder Rink on Christmas morning. It’s the perfect place for families to enjoy the holiday season!

The scenic Natrel® Rink is a long-standing favorite in the downtown core, and the addition of the new Natrel Kinder Rink is sure to be a fan favorite as well! The Natrel® Kinder rink is an innovative synthetic ice surface, and is the first public facility of its kind to open in Canada.

Thanks to Artificial Grass & Landscaping (AGL), the exclusive North American distributor, Harbourfront Centre is pleased to provide the optimal place for kids to learn how to skate and practice before moving on to the bigger skating rink. The Natrel® Kinder Rink is made from a revolutionary material with a 98% resemblance to conventional ice rink surfaces, so you can wear regular ice skates and skate on it all year round!

The Natrel® Kinder Rink is located at the Lakeside Terrace Tent and it measures 40 x 60 feet. It provides ideal skating surface that requires minimum maintenance, is eco-friendly and non-toxic, is resistant to sun, rain or snow, and is 10 times less expensive than a conventional ice rink. The high degree of fall absorption means a limited risk of injury as well, a very important consideration when learning to skate!

The Natrel® Kinder Rink is also available for private functions including shinny hockey, parties and special events. Contact for more information.

Both rinks are located at 235 Queens Quay West, Toronto. The Natrel® Rink is open from Sunday to Thursday from 10 a.m. to 10p.m., Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. The Natrel® Kinder Rink is open daily from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
