Harbourfront Centre unveils The Natrel® Kinder Rink
The first synthetic ice surface of its kind in Canada!TORONTO, ON (Nov. 30, 2009) – Harbourfront Centre expands its winter recreation facilities with the addition of The Natrel® Kinder Rink. The innovative synthetic ice surface opens just in time for the HarbourKIDS: SK8 weekend on Dec. 5 and is the first public facility of its kind to open in Canada.Thanks to Artificial Grass & Landscaping (AGL), the exclusive North American distributor, Harbourfront Centre is pleased to provide the optimal place for kids to learn how to skate and practice before moving on to the big ice on The Natrel® Rink. The Natrel® Kinder Rink is made from a revolutionary material with a 98% resemblance to conventional ice rink surfaces. You can wear regular ice skates and skate on it all year round!The Natrel® Kinder Rink is located at the Lakeside Terrace Tent and it measures 40 x 60 feet. It provides ideal skating surface that requires minimum maintenance, is eco-friendly and non-toxic, is resistant to sun, rain or snow, and is 10 times less expensive than a conventional ice rink. The high degree of fall absorption means a limited risk of injury as well, a very important consideration when learning to skate!The Natrel® Kinder Rink is also available for private functions including shinny hockey, parties and special events.The Natrel® Rink and The Natrel® Kinder Rink are located at 235 Queens Quay West, Toronto.
