Calling all HarbourKIDS to join the One Million Acts of Green campaign to make an IMPACT! and enter their Act of Green!TORONTO, Tuesday, April 28, 2009 — Harbourfront Centre is proud to support One Million Acts of Green, in partnership with Cisco and the CBC. Harbourfront Centre is looking for kids who make an impact on a greener world. Maybe it's turning off the lights when one leaves a room. Or remembering to recycle. Whatever it is, we’re hoping one small act can lead to ONE MILLION! Kids can sign up for HarbourKIDS membership and enter their Act of Green now! HarbourKIDS Club members are also the first to know about all the activities for kids and families happening at Harbourfront Centre including HarbourKIDS: Impact! May 16-18. To sign up your child and learn more about One Million Acts of Green, go to harbourfrontcentre.com/harbourkids. Kids are also invited to visit the Cisco ImpactLAB during HarbourKIDS: Impact! The Cisco ImpactLAB features crafts and activities where kids can learn about “acts of green” and other ways they can make a difference to our environment. Kids can also pledge their "act of green" on a button and wear it wherever they go! HarbourKIDS: Impact! celebrates all the ways kids can make an impact on the world around them. This action-packed weekend of non-stop fun showcases all kinds of cool stuff for kids to explore, see and do, including the death-defying feats of the Toronto International Circus Festival, co-produced with Zero Gravity Circus. World-class acrobats, blazing fire-eaters, side-splitting comedy, daredevil stunts, stilt-walkers, jugglers, balloon sculptors, the Natrel High Impact! Zone, plus tons of interactive activities await visitors of all ages at Harbourfront Centre’s celebration for kids who make a difference. HarbourKIDS: Impact! takes place on Saturday, Sunday and Victoria Day Holiday Monday, May 16-18, 11am-5pm at Toronto’s Harbourfront Centre, 235 Queens Quay West. Admission is free. In a world where we are constantly bombarded with information and images, what happens when someone really takes the time to reflect? Through May, Harbourfront Centre wants you to pause and make a connection to art, recreation, the world. Find time for yourself by taking one of our Courses and Workshops; reflect while you wait for the World Stage curtain to rise; consider your IMPACT on the world at HarbourKIDS. Harbourfront Centre—time well spent.
