The Spiegel Show sizzle continues through July 1

Toronto, Wednesday, June 6, 2007- Harbourfront Centre today announced that, due to popular demand, the phenomenal Spiegel Show is being held over. Originally co-produced with Luminato, the show, directed by Harbourfront Centre's Tina Rasmussen, features a rascally mix of burlesque, comedy, music and aerialists and other delicious acts. Performed in the Spiegeltent'ntavern, presented by Fido, The Spiegel Show will continue through July 1, 2007 with performances Thursday through Saturday at 8 p.m., doors opening at 6:30 p.m. and Sunday at 7 p.m., doors opening at 5:30 p.m. .

"Camp" takes on a whole new meaning at Harbourfront Centre with the recent success of the The Spiegel Show. The best deal in town, tickets are only $25. Performances take place in the art-deco inspired tent of mirrors located on the grounds of Harbourfront Centre, just in front of the Enwave Theatre, 231 Queens Quay West. Liberty Entertainment Group will continue to facilitate onsite logistics along with food and beverage services for the Spiegeltent'ntavern. Since the launch of Luminato The Spiegel Show has consistently sold out, fulfilling its billing as the hub and buzz of the festival. The Spiegeltent'ntavern joins Pulse Front and the upcoming Carnivalissima creating waves of visitors to Harbourfront Centre's 10-acre site.

One of the acts in The Spiegel Show features a celebrity guest who is asked to read their choice of something "smutty", as they define it. Upcoming smut readers include: writer George Elliot Clarke, media mogul and entrepreneur Moses Znaimer, Luminato co-chair David Pecaut and television personality and CBC radio host Laurie Brown.
