Under the Azure Dome - The ancient Persian celebration of Nowruz is a Spring Equinox pancultural phenomena shared by peoples from historical Persian territories in Iran, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Turkey and India. The three day Under the Azure Dome (March 17 through March 19, 2006) festival takes Nowruz as a common meeting place for Persian cultural exploration on a scale not yet experienced in Canada. More highlights include exclusive screenwriting workshops with internationally acclaimed Iranian film director Kambozia Partovi and a theatre workshop with writer, director and dramaturge Soheil Parsa.
