at Harbourfront Centre's Natrel Rink
Toronto's first outdoor rink to open in 2005!
Open daily starting Saturday November 19

TORONTO, October 12, 2005 - Harbourfront Centre's Natrel Rink is Toronto's first outdoor rink to open this year, beginning Saturday November 19. The Natrel Rink is then open daily through March 12, 2006 (weather permitting).

This free fun activity is perfect for all ages. Canada’s largest outdoor man-made skating rink is open seven days a week (weather permitting). Hours are Sunday to Thursday (10 a.m. to 10 p.m.) and Friday & Saturday (10 a.m. to 11 pm.). Admission is free. Skate rentals are $7 for adults, $6 for children and seniors. Skate sharpening is available for a $5 fee.

Adults and children can also Learn to Skate this winter at the Natrel Rink! Children’s skating lessons offer four levels - Parent & Tot, Kinderskate, Beginners and Intermediate. Adult skating lessons offer two levels - Absolute Beginners and Adult Refresher. Learn to Skate offers smaller class sizes in order to provide individualized attention and instruction. Prices range from $45 to $85 (for six classes) and take place starting November 21 to December 12, 2005 as well as from January 9 to February 19, 2006. Harbourfront Centre is also offering four monthly Skating for Singles events this Winter on Tuesday nights as part of its new Learning for Living programme. The evenings take place from 8 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. on Tuesday December 6, January 13 and March 3, as well as a special Valentine's Day event on February 14!
