FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Toronto’s Harbourfront Centre spins into summer with the return of DJ Deep Fried Fridays – June 27–August 29 TORONTO, ON (June 5, 2014) – Harbourfront Centre will cater to Toronto’s ear buds and taste buds this summer with the return of DJ Deep Fried Fridays on June 27. Kicking off at 7 p.m., you’re invited to the Redpath Stage to experience the perfect pairing of Toronto’s hottest DJs with some of the most decadent deep fried dishes in town every Friday until August 29. This year, DJ Deep Fried Fridays will feature a variety of DJs from around the world, as well as some of Toronto’s very own turntable legends. With Harbourfront Centre hosting a variety of culturally specific festivals throughout its Summer of Wonder, both tunes and dishes at each DJ Deep Fried Friday event will reflect the curatorial theme of the weekend. “Toronto has gained a reputation as being one of the most culturally diverse cities in the world,” says Sergio Elmir, Harbourfront Centre artistic associate. “DJ Deep Fried Fridays is one of the most exciting ways Harbourfront Centre explores this reputation, and it truly brings the world to Toronto’s waterfront.” Opening night will focus on the pairing of globetrotting DJ/Producer Uproot Andy – who returns to his hometown of Toronto with a suitcase of dance floor gems – with La Mexicana Restaurant’s delicious chimichangas. The good vibes will continue throughout the summer as the likes of DJ Paul E Lopes and DJ Jason Palma, DJ General Eclectic and DJ Breakdown, among many others, visit Harbourfront Centre Stages. DJ Deep Fried Fridays are free and open to everyone, from foodies to music lovers, and anyone in-between. For additional information the public may visit harbourfrontcentre.com or call 416-973-4000.
