INTERNATIONAL VISITORS PROGRAMME ANNOUNCES 2013 PARTICIPANTS AND THE CANADIAN EDITORIAL FELLOW

TORONTO, July 11, 2013 ----- The International Visitors (IV) Programme, in association with Authors at Harbourfront Centre, is pleased to announce the participants for this year's programme. In October 2013, the IV Programme celebrates its sixth year of welcoming publishing professionals from around the world to Toronto during the International Festival of Authors (IFOA). Participants benefit from five days of scheduled inter-industry dialogue with the goal of increasing opportunities for Canadian authors and publishers abroad. This year's IV Programme runs from October 27-31, 2013.

Highlights of the 2013 session will be a highly anticipated panel event featuring discussion of acquisition lists from major international publishers, as well as the new IV alumni programme. "I'm thrilled to say that we have seen a deluge of inquiries from international publishing professionals. The IV Programme has hosted 100 publishers, editors, literary festival directors, agents and scouts over the past five years in Toronto and is a highlight of the Canadian publishing calendar."
