INTERNATIONAL FESTIVAL OF AUTHORS ANNOUNCES 2013 PRELIMINARY LINE-UP
Participants include Margaret Atwood, Joseph Boyden, Anne Carson, Douglas Coupland, Stephen King, Sam Lipsyte, Lisa MooreTORONTO, June 10, 2013 ----- Authors at Harbourfront Centre is delighted to announce the preliminary line-up for the 34th annual International Festival of Authors (IFOA), October 24 to November 3, 2013. For 11 days each fall, the IFOA presents literary talent from across the globe in a number of events including readings, panel discussions, onstage interviews, book signings and a wide range of special presentations. This year’s Festival affords audiences more opportunities than ever to meet their favourite authors and encounter new voices.The IFOA’s preliminary line-up includes over 60 authors writing in categories from literary fiction to memoir, poetry to thrillers. Authors confirmed thus far include: literary legends Margaret Atwood and Stephen King; a Canadian canon of Dennis Bock, Joseph Boyden, Catherine Bush, Jowita Bydlowska, Douglas Coupland, Lauren B. Davis, Lewis DeSoto, Steven Galloway, Don Gillmor, Douglas Glover, Wayne Grady, Charlotte Gray, Helen Humphreys, Ann Ireland, Wayne Johnston, Annabel Lyon, Margaret MacMillan, Elizabeth Ruth, Mary Swan, Ania Szado and Michael Winter; international heavyweights Nadeem Aslam, Jami Attenberg, Sarah Dunant, Thomas Enger, Charlotte Grimshaw, Aleksandar Hemon, Fiona Kidman, Rachel Kushner, Kim Scott and C.K. Stead; debut novelists Shani Boianjiu, Janie Chang, Sahar Delijani, Viola Di Grado, Owen King, Amanda Leduc, Anthony Marra and D.W.
