FOREST OF READING® FESTIVAL OF TREES™ WELCOMES
THOUSANDS OF YOUNG READERS TO HARBOURFRONT CENTREWhat: Forest of Reading® Festival of Trees™ welcomes thousands of young readers to the Harbourfront Centre site each year for two days of activities celebrating the love of reading – award ceremonies, fun workshops, book signings, and more! Events are the culmination of thousands of votes and 250,000 participants from across Ontario.Presented by the Ontario Library Association and Authors at Harbourfront Centre. When: Tuesday, May 15 & Wednesday, May 16, 2013; 9am–2pmWhere: Harbourfront Centre, 235 Queens Quay West, TorontoWho: More than 60 authors/illustrators, hundreds of Ontario schools and thousands of attendees Participants for this year’s Forest of Reading® Festival of Trees™ include: Forest of Reading®-nominated authors Kevin Sylvester, Eric Walters, Teresa Toten, Evan Munday and Allan Stratton. Cast members of YTV's Zoink'd! will help host the Silver Birch ceremonies, and put on a live version of their zany and hilarious show on the Redpath Stage between ceremonies. Other ceremony hosts include Richard Scarsbrook, OWL Magazine’s Kim Cooper and Dalmar from TVOKids.

Our season runs from September to June and includes the annual International Festival of Authors (IFOA) (October 24 - November 3, 2013), including YoungIFOA and IFOA Ontario; and the annual ALOUD: a Celebration for Young Readers with Forest of Reading® Festival of Trees™ (May 15 - 16, 2013).
