33rd annual International Festival of Authors (IFOA)
Welcome Party for participating authors, dignitaries and industry guests

What: IFOA hosts the annual Welcome Party on October 22, 2012 in celebration of local and international participants. The party will be followed by an event featuring readings by this yearís finalists for the Governor Generalís Literary Award for English Fiction and the presentation of the inaugural Ivy Award presented by the International Visitors (IV) Programme, in association with Authors at Harbourfront Centre.

Who: Authors, dignitaries and various industry guests will be in attendance, providing an opportunity to connect with some of todayís top literary talent. Possible Welcome Party attendees include: 2012 Governor Generalís Literary Award for English Fiction shortlisters Tamas Dobozy, Robert Hough, Vincent Lam, Carrie Snyder and Linda Spalding; 2012 Harbourfront Festival Prize-winner Austin Clarke; British astronomy journalist Stuart Clark; award-winning Canadian authors Miriam Toews, Annabel Lyon, and Robert J. Sawyer; international stars Chris Cleave and Jane Johnson; and many more.
