STUDENTS AND YOUTH ELIGIBLE FOR FREE TICKETS
TO CANADA’S PREMIER LITERARY FESTIVAL

TORONTO, October 3, 2012------- The 33rd annual International Festival of Authors (IFOA) is pleased to offer free tickets to youth 25 and under and students with valid ID to all regularly priced events (subject to availability). This year’s 11-day festival kicks off October 18 and features the world's best writers of contemporary literature in readings, interviews, lectures, round table discussions and public book signings.

This year’s IFOA lineup of more than 190 participants includes: literary heavyweights Paul Auster, Michael Chabon, Chris Cleave, Junot Díaz, Louise Erdrich, Richard Ford, Howard Jacobson and Irvine Welsh; Canadian writers Emma Donoghue, Jian Ghomeshi, Linda Holeman, Vincent Lam, Annabel Lyon, Linden MacIntyre, Rohinton Mistry, Alice Munro, John Ralston Saul, Emily Schultz, Linda Spalding, M.G. Vassanji and Russell Wangersky; international stars Mohammed Hanif, Deborah Harkness, Laura Lippman, Kate Mosse and Jess Walter; crime writers Mark Billingham, Lee Child, Jo Nesbø, Michael Robotham and Robert Rotenberg; debut novelists Marjorie Celona, Rachel Joyce, Ben Lerner, Tanis Rideout, Anakana Schofield and Robin Sloan; science and speculative fiction authors Stuart Clark, Cory Doctorow and Robert J. Sawyer; and many, many more.

Tickets using this special offer can be reserved in person or by phone only. Youth and students must present their student or photo ID at the Harbourfront Centre Box Office to collect their tickets. Please note that some exceptions apply and tickets are subject to availability.
