Three nights of Denmark deckmasters mix it up with top Toronto talent at Revival
Sept. 29, Sept. 30 and Oct. 8, 2004 - Presented by SUPERDANISH: Newfangled Danish Culture

Wednesday September 29, 2004 at Revival
DJ Static and MC Nat Ill >> Denmark vs Canada << Abs & Fase
also featuring Toronto DJ More or Les
Admission: $5 before 11 p.m. / $8 after (Doors open at 9 p.m.)

Two countries represent with funked out souled up hip-hop and original sets by acclaimed DJ/MCs. Former Denmark turntablist champion DJ Static throws down with partner MC Nat Ill while Toronto's dynamic duo of DJ Fase and MC Abdominal activate their powers in a rare live display. DJ More or Les spins throughout the evening.

Denmark's DJ Static has achieved international hip-hop success first as a turntablist (1997 ITF European Champion, 1999 Danish DMC Champion) and more recently as a club DJ (2004 Hip-Hop DJ of the Year at the Danish DJ Awards). His elaborate battle word cuts and beat juggles have coalesced with a spinning style that combines Hip-Hop with R&B, Electro, Disco and Funk. His partnership with MC Nat Ill displays both skills at this rare Canadian appearance (www.djstatic.dk).

Toronto's Abs & Fase received national and international props for their 2002 Flowtation Device release and are known for their superior live skills. Fase is also known for his work at the long-running Footwork and Love Movement weeklies. More or Les is known both for his DJing and MC skills and for his work with the In Divine Style weekly (www.villianworship.com).
