IFOA ONTARIO: ON THE ROAD
Visiting 14 communities across OntarioToronto, September 4--- The 33rd annual International Festival of Authors (IFOA) hits the road again for its annual touring programme, IFOA Ontario, bringing literary events to 14 locations across the province from October 16 to November 2. This year Canadian and international authors will visit Barrie, Brantford, Burlington, Hamilton, Markham, Midland, Parry Sound, Picton, Orillia, Owen Sound, Thunder Bay, Uxbridge, Windsor and Woodstock.Now in its sixth year, IFOA Ontario partners with libraries, bookstores, universities, and community organizations across Ontario to help provide areas with access to IFOA’s roster of best contemporary writers from around the globe.Geoffrey E. Taylor, Director of IFOA, says: “We're very pleased to continue to bring well-established authors to communities across Ontario, and to help authors who are well-established in their own markets find an audience in Canada for the first time. The enthusiasm of our partners and their audiences is a reminder of how much Ontarians value opportunities to meet and connect with authors."Participating authors include award-winning novelist and essayist John Ralston Saul, Scotiabank Giller Prize winner Vincent Lam, Rogers Writers’ Trust Fiction Prize winner Annabel Lyon and 2012 Man Booker Prize-nominated author Ned Beauman. Richardson, Salman Rushdie, Cordelia Strube, Susan Swan, Benjamin Wood and many others.
