Advisory: Harbourfront Centre’s DJ Skate Night extended!TORONTO, ON (Feb. 14, 2012) – Harbourfront Centre’s popular DJ Skate Night series has been extended! The 2012 DJ Skate Night season was scheduled to end on Feb. 18 with an all-female hip hop showcase featuring DJ MelBoogie & JJ Rock of DD Radio, but on Feb. 25, Harbourfront Centre presents one last DJ Skate Night with CIUT’s DJ medicineman.Initially scheduled for a January appearance, DJ medicineman is set to transform the Natrel® Rink into a fusion of sound that focuses on electro-swing backed by modern electronic beats. This skate party takes place on Saturday, Feb. 25 from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. As Canada's most highly respected global fusion tastemaker and DJ, Richard ‘DJ medicineman’ Martin will spin skaters around the world with a mix of global groove, world beat and ethno-electro hits. DJ Skate Night is a part of Harbourfront Centre’s SKATE CULTURE programme that celebrates Canada’s winter culture. All SKATE CULTURE events take place on the beautiful Natrel® Rink located along the scenic shores of Lake Ontario at 235 Queens Quay W., in the heart of Toronto’s downtown waterfront.
